This easy and fast crochet blanket is made using this very simple and fun stitch. Beginner friendly, and useable for any yarn you like, grab your crochet hook and get to stash busting! Below I have the very basic lay out for a blanket. I am going to add more details to this post so be sure to check back. I have a printable blanket pattern HERE. I hope you enjoy making this blanket.
To begin choose and blanket size. I went with 50×60 inches. A nice adult throw blanket. I used BERNAT Blanket yarn. Super bulky (6) yarn. 5 balls if you use one color. I used 7 balls and did 4 colors.
Hook size is very important. I have 3 examples here. I chained 9, and have 8 stitches in each swatch. You will use a larger hook for a flexible squishy blanket, use a smaller hook for a rug or mat, as it will make your stitches closer together and more dense fabric.
Chain as many as you want or as long as you want your blanket to be wide.
ROW 1. Hdc into second chain from hook and into each chain. ch 1, turn.
ROW 2. Hdc BETWEEN each stitch (not into the top) All the way to the end. Place last stitch into the space made by the ch 1 turning chain. ch 1, turn.
Repeat row 2 until your blanket is as large as you like.

What size hook is the middle example. Also do you know when the pattern will be available. Trying to figure out how much of each color I need.
