Hello! In my newest crochet tutorial we learn how to make the granny stripes stitch. This is super fun and simple stitch. It only has two repeat rows, so perfect for a relaxing quick project! You can also use any yarn and hook you like with this stitch. I just happened to have worsted weight yarn 10ply, and an H 5.00mm hook.
With the stitch you can make easy blankets, scarves, shawls and other crochet necessities. Check out my tutorial by clicking HERE.
For the colors on the sample I just went through my yarn stash and came up with a bunch of different yarns that I had scraps from. Most of them are Red Heart yarn colors, super saver I believe, many of them don’t have labels anymore! The purple color on top is a Caron big cakes in grape jelly. I just went with the classic rainbow, red, orange, yellow, green, light blue, dark blue and then purple. I went with two rows of each color. After crocheting those two rows I snipped a long tail and started the new color. So lots of ends to weave in, but worth the trouble I think.
