Well I have finally got it together after over 4 years to write up a pattern for my Xtra easy soap saver. What is funny is I had decided the cross stitch was just too hard to explain, turns out it’s not all that hard.
So Here is my Xtra easy soap saver! I also came up with the cloth pattern white I was at it. I think they re a great pair for gifts.
The cross stitch creates a beautiful texture, and the cloth or soap saver work up fast enough top take them top your next craft fair! So don’t miss out! Grab your hook!

Xtra Easy Soap Saver

This crochet pattern is written in American English crochet terms and has the perfect texture for a great soap saver! They are easy to work up and make wonderful gifts for that bar soap lover. The finished measurements of this pattern are about 3.75”X 4.5”. These numbers may differ for each individual.

Materials:
v G (4.25mm) crochet hook
v Peaches and Crème cotton yarn 33yrds (19g) or any #4 worsted weight natural yarnv Scissors
v Yarn needle
v Measuring tape
Abbreviations:ch = chain
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet
st = stitch
Pattern Notes: Repeat all instruction between stars (*). Beginning chains do NOT count as stitches in this pattern.
Gauge Pattern: 14 dc and 8 rows = 4×4 inches. ch 16, 1. dc into 3rd ch from hook and into each ch back, ch 2 turn (14st). 2.- 8. dc into each st, ch 2 turn (14st) finished size should be about 4×4”.
To Begin:Ch 14.
Row 1. hdc into 3rd ch from hook and into each ch, ch 2 turn. (12st)
Row 2. dc into the first st, skip next st, dc into next st, now dc back into the skipped st creating an X. *skip next st, dc into the next st, dc back into the skipped st* Repeat to end. dc into last st. You should now have 5 X’s across work. (see photo) ch 2, turn (12st)
Row 3. hdc into each st, ch 2, turn. (12st)Row 4-17. Repeat rows 2 & 3.
Cut a long tail and fasten off work by pulling tail though last loop on hook. Fold your work so the short ends or beginning and end of work are together.
Use yarn needle on long tail and sew up side of soap saver. You should be ending at folded bottom side. Cut yarn.
Starting at top of soap saver again, sew down the other side. Cut yarn. Turn bag inside out.
Draw string:
Ch 30. Snip yarn, pull tail though last loop. Weave finished ch in and out between every 2 of the hdc posts at open end of soap saver. Sew or tie the two ch ends together.
Weave in all remaining ends of work.

Row 21. Repeat row 3.
Finishing edge: sc evenly around entire cloth, place 2 sc st into each corner for a nice edge. Cut yarn. Weave in all ends.

On the four corner viris pancho. do you need to have caller.
No you do not need the collar that long. You should do a couple rows to support the virus stitch.
