The Flora Blossom Pattern
This gorgeous blanket has a classic heirloom look to it. With texture and lacy shells, it looks stunning in many different colors. The pattern has only 4 repeat rounds, making it easy to memorize and work up quickly.
I have a FREE tutorial on YouTube for this blanket. Then you can also purchase my written pattern on Etsy and Ravelry. The written pattern has lots of photos and if you need any assistance on reading one of my patterns, I am always happy to help.
Sizing and materials
This blanket is 38X48″ and used around 1600 yards of worsted weight yarn with an L 8mm crochet hook. Next expected size would be 48X58″. The yarn I used for this rose and white blanket is Caron One Pound Yarn. Personally, I did not care for this yarn and will not be buying it again. Over all, the colors are pretty and the yarn is soft, but it ended up being super fuzzy and I did not like the “well used” look before I was even finished with my brand new blanket. This blanket only took me 3 days to complete. How long did it take you? Leave me a comment on the tutorial or here!
You can also use other yarns or hooks for this pattern. I have 3 yarn/hook examples in the YouTube video. LINK HERE.
Other Shapes of this PATTERN
This Flora Blossom rectangle blanket can also be made as a square or as a shawl. They are all really fun to work up and have FREE tutorials and a paid written patterns as well. I will show you a couple photos of them here:
For the square blanket, I used the Caron One pound Yarn and for more information on that, you can check out my other post by clicking HERE.
Then for the shawl I used Red Heart Super Saver Ombre and again, I have a post on that one too. Click HERE. I used the Red Heart Super Saver Ombre to film my tutorial. I think it’s absolutely gorgeous but I want to restart the blanket using my prefered L 8mm hook, as the 5.5mm was fine, it works up more slowly than the bigger hook.
I hope you enjoy these patterns and get to make many many blankets and shawl! Thank you for the visit!
Pretty! This has been a really wonderful post. Many thanks for supplying this information.
Thank you very much!
