Victoria’s German Shells Blanket

Victoria’s German Shells crochet blanket is worked up using the German shells stitch/Virus stitch, the half double crochet block stitch and the V stitch. This pattern repeats to make a blanket as large as you want. You can then add the extra special picot edging.

I have a LEFT and RIGHT handed tutorials on this pattern as well as a written pattern you can find of ETSY or RAVELRY.

For this pattern I used 1693 yards/984g of Red Heart ombre in deep teal. I also used a G 4.25mm hook. My blanket is 50×50 inches.

You can use any yarn and hook you like for your blanket. Different hooks and yarns will produce different results. Sizes, needing blocking or not etc.

Please let me know what you think in the comments here or message me on Etsy if you have questions.

Hi Chris, This pattern is made using ombre yarn so no color changes, the yarn does that by itself. Red Heart ombre in deep teal. Thanks for commenting!
