Victorias German Shells Blanket Pattern -Free Tutorial
Victoria’s German Shells crochet blanket uses the German shells stitch (also known as the Virus stitch), the half double crochet block stitch, and the V stitch. Because this pattern repeats easily, you can make the blanket as large as you like. Then, simply finish it off with the beautiful picot edging for an extra special touch.

There is a LEFT and RIGHT handed tutorial on this pattern as well as a written pattern you can find of ETSY or RAVELRY.
For this pattern I used 1693 yards/984g of Red Heart ombre in deep teal. I also used a G 4.25mm hook. My blanket is 50×50 inches but you can continue with the repeats to make this blanket as large as you like.
You can use any yarn and hook you want for your blanket. Different hooks and yarns will produce different results. Including different sizes, needing blocking, etc.
Please let me know what you think in the comments here or message me on Etsy if you have questions.

You can also make a shawl using this stitch. Here is is shown below.
This pattern also comes as a rectangle blanket. Please be sure to tag JMCrochet_IG@ instagram so we can see your beautiful crochet using these patterns! The YouTube channel also has a community tab now where you can share your photos so everyone can see.
