How to Crochet Romantic Lacy Shawl
By Jonna September 27, 2018
3 min read
Those of you who have been following me and my crochet, even for a short time, know what I have a love or romance if you will, of SIMPLE patterns that don’t look so simple.
This amazing shawl is the perfect example of that. Yes, this shawl is only ONE repeating row.
Row 2 is the repeating row, you just crochet until it is of the desired length. I went too long with this shawl. I go to get my tape and pattern says 64 inches and my shawl is 68″! Oh well, I love how it turned out.
What color would you make this shawl? This stitch would also be beautiful as a blanket, scarf or other crochet items.
I created a LEFT handed and RIGHT handed tutorial for this shawl. Scroll to the bottom of this page for links to the tutorials.
Make sure to share the link with your crochet friends! This shawl makes a wonderful easy to make gift too for those who do not crochet.
I also found that because of the wide lacy design of this shawl it can easily double as an over sized crochet scarf! Check it out in the photo below.
I love this color and this style for a fall or winter look.
The hook I used is from this SET OF CROCHET HOOKS on amazon. Love this set. They will ease crochet fatigue and hand and wrist pain.
I used the K 6.5MM hook.
I also used 3 skeins of Red Heart With Love yarn in BERRY RED.
And then you will just need and yarn needle and a pair of scissors to finish off this project.
MULTIPLES: If you would like to make this shawl wider or more narrow from what I’ve come up with the multiple is 6+4.
So for more explanation: 6 as many times as you like then add 4 more chains to that number.
I hope this works, I tried it a few times it worked for me. Let me know with a comment!
I hope you like the tutorial! Make sure to hit the like button, share the YouTube link with your people and subscribe if you haven’t. You can also now join memberships on my Youtube channel.
Have a lovely crochet day.
